Library operational POLICY
Hours of Operation:
M-F 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Scheduling the Library
-To schedule a class in the library, please access the google calendar "Sheridan Library" and create a time slot in the calendar. You may also call or email the librarian. The library is reserved for classes on a first come first served basis. Please schedule your class at least one day in advance so the library can prepare for the class's needs.
Circulation Policy
-Length of circulation period: 2 weeks for students and 4 weeks for staff.
-Number of items: 4 item limit for students (one being the student's assigned Chromebook); No limit on items for staff.
-Policies for special items (i.e. reference, av, magazines, etc.): Magazines and reference materials are to be used in the library, but are available for check out on a case by case basis. Please speak to the librarian if you believe you will need to check out one of these items.
-Fines Policy: The library does not charge late fees. If an item is lost or damaged beyond use, a replacement fee will be charged in order to replace the item. If the patron is unable to afford the fee, please speak with the librarian to determine alternate options for getting the item replaced.

-Students coming to the library during class time need a pass from their teacher and to follow any instructions that the teacher has given. Students also need a pass to leave the library before the end of the period unless they are returning to class. If students do not have instructions from their teacher, their time is their own as long as the library rules are being followed.
